Since 2017, Frutillar has been recognized by Unesco as a Creative City of Music, thanks to the collaborative work between the Illustrious Municipality of Frutillar, the Teatro del Lago Foundation, the Frutillar Musical Weeks Cultural Corporation and the Frutillar Sustainable Development Foundation (PLADES). . 

This membership made it the first Chilean city to join a select group of thirty cities in the world that stand out for their close ties to the arts and culture.

Being part of this network has allowed Frutillar to continue to position itself culturally at an international level and develop actions that deepen the impact of the creative industries. 

PLATES
Teatro del Lago Foundation is committed to decentralization and public-private work in generating progress and development. That is why it is an active part, together with its strategic partner, Fundación Mustakis , of PLADES (Fundación para el Desarrollo Sustentable de Frutillar), a public-private organization that works associatively with the municipality and the community in the design and implementation of a sustainable development plan. For the city. 

PLADES seeks to ensure the organic and integrated growth of the city, both from a social, urban and environmental perspective. For this, it has a vision developed in a participatory way, which is expressed in a master plan and a portfolio of projects planned until 2030.

On a day-to-day basis, the Foundation team generates initiatives that aim to interpret and materialize its vision, always in tune with the municipal, regional and national agenda.

Frutillar cuenta desde 2017 con el reconocimiento de la Unesco como Ciudad Creativa de la Música, gracias al trabajo colaborativo entre la Ilustre Municipalidad de Frutillar, Fundación Teatro del Lago, Corporación Cultural Semanas Musicales de Frutillar y Fundación para el Desarrollo Sustentable de Frutillar (PLADES). 

Esta membresía la convirtió en la primera ciudad chilena en unirse a un selecto grupo de treinta ciudades del mundo que destacan por su estrecho vínculo con las artes y la cultura.

Ser parte de esta red le ha permitido a Frutillar seguir posicionándose culturalmente a nivel internacional y desarrollar acciones que profundizan el impacto de las industrias creativas. 

PLADES
Fundación Teatro del Lago está comprometida con la descentralización y el trabajo público-privado en la generación de progreso y desarrollo. Por eso es parte activa junto a su socio estratégico, Fundación Mustakis, de PLADES (Fundación para el Desarrollo Sustentable de Frutillar), organización público-privada que trabaja asociativamente con el municipio y la comunidad en el diseño e implementación de un plan de desarrollo sustentable para la ciudad. 

PLADES busca velar por el crecimiento orgánico e integrado de la ciudad, tanto desde una perspectiva social, como urbana y ambiental. Para esto cuenta con una visión desarrollada de modo participativo, la que se expresa en un plan maestro y una cartera de proyectos previstos hasta el 2030.

En el día a día, el equipo de la Fundación genera iniciativas que apuntan a interpretar y materializar su visión, siempre en sintonía con la agenda municipal, regional y nacional.
