The Daejeon Opera Company, which is active mainly in the Daejeon area, will present <Cavalleria Rusticana & Pagliacci> at the Daejeon Arts Center Art Hall as the first festival performance held in the region. These two works, representative of Italian verismo opera, are famous for being performed together as parts 1 and 2. P. Mascagni's work <Cavalleria Rusticana> depicts all human emotions with direct and intense emotions based on the lives of peasants, while R. Leoncavallo's work <Pagliacci> depicts jealousy and betrayal. , and deals with various human emotions such as love and death. Daejeon Opera Company depicts the horrors of reality and human nature on stage in a shocking yet beautiful way, making us reflect on ourselves in the present.

대전 지역을 중심으로 활발한 활동을 하는 대전오페라단이 지역에서 열리는 첫 페스티벌 공연으로 <카발레리아 루스티카나 & 팔리아치>를 대전예술의전당 아트홀에서 선보인다. 이탈리아 베리스모 오페라의 대표적인 이 두 작품은 1, 2부로 같이 무대에 오르는 것으로 유명하다. 마스카니(P. Mascagni)의 작품 <카발레리아 루스티카나>는 농민들의 삶을 소재로 인간의 모든 감정을 직설적이고 강렬한 감정으로 그려내고, 레온카발로(R. Leoncavallo)의 작품 <팔리아치>는 질투와 배신, 그리고 사랑과 죽음 등 다양한 인간의 감정을 다룬다. 대전오페라단은 무대 위에서 현실의 참상과 인간의 본성을 충격적이면서도 아름답게 그려내어 현재의 우리 자신을 돌아보게 한다.
