Die Harmonie & Next generation artists: Le nozze di Figaro Mozart (+3 More)

Mozart's Nachtmusik K. 388 may be overshadowed by his Gran Partita, but the melodies are equally refined, and the instrumentation is just as subtle and colorful – in short, it is a beautiful wind serenade! I SOLISTI will open the program with the ouverture and arias from Le Nozze di Figaro, in a historic arrangement by Johann Nepomuk Wendt. This formation of a historical wind octet and double bass was immensely popular during Mozart's time, and many courts employed such ensembles. These ensembles, called "die Harmonie," also played a significant role in disseminating a wide range of repertoire, including operas, through various adaptations that were created during that period.

We are delighted to bring two of our young exceptional talents. Jappe and Balder Dendievel, two brothers aged 19 and 22, are both I SOLISTI NextGeneration Artists. They will perform the entire program and have the opportunity to present a solo to the audience. Balder will perform Britten's solo work, a highlight from the oboe repertoire that portrays powerful character sketches of figures from Roman mythology. Jappe will present a work by Wim Henderickx, originally composed for his teacher and mentor Francis Pollet, who is also the founder of I SOLISTI.

In een bewerking voor blazersoctet en contrabas, brengt I SOLISTI de ouverture en enkele aria’s uit Mozarts Le Nozze di Figaro. Vertrekkende bij deze ‘Harmoniemuziek’ ten voeten uit, leggen we de link met de blazersserenade. Droom weg bij Mozarts verfijnde melodieën en kleurrijke instrumentatie in zijn Serenade in c ‘Nachtmusik’. 
We stellen ook twee van onze NextGeneration Artists voor in werk van Benjamin Britten en Wim Henderickx. 

Mozarts Nachtmusik K. 388 staat wat in de schaduw van zijn Gran Partita, maar de melodieën zijn even verfijnd, de instrumentatie even subtiel en kleurrijk, kortom – een prachtige blazersserenade! I SOLISTI zal het programma openen met de ouverture en aria’s uit Le Nozze di Figaro, in een historische bewerking door Johann Nepomuk Wendt. Deze bezetting van historisch blazersoctet en contrabas was ten tijde van Mozart razend populair, en in vele hoven was dan ook zo’n ensemble in dienst. Deze ensembles, ‘die Harmonie’ genoemd, zorgden ook voor verdere verspreiding van heel wat repertoire waaronder opera’s, door de veelvuldige bewerkingen die in die periode ontstonden.

Graag brengen we ook twee van onze jonge toptalenten mee. Jappe en Balder Dendievel, twee broers (19 en 22 jaar) zijn beide I SOLISTI NextGeneration Artist.
Zij spelen het volledige programma mee, en krijgen ook de kans om aan het publiek een solo te presenteren. Het solowerk van Britten, gespeeld door Balder, is een topstuk uit het hoborepertoire met krachtige karakterschetsen van personages uit de Romeinse mythologie. Jappe brengt een werk van Wim Henderickx, dat oorspronkelijk gecomponeerd is voor zijn docent en mentor Francis Pollet, tevens de oprichter van I SOLISTI.

Instrumentation
