Plovdiv Opera and State Puppet Theater - Plovdiv invite the youngest spectators to the premiere of the educational performance "Fairy Cinderella", an adaptation of Rossini's opera, on February 23 at 6 pm in the hall of DKT - Plovdiv. The opera performance with puppets was created in partnership with universities and opera companies from Spain, Italy and Bulgaria under the project "Opera and Early Childhood Education" of Erasmus + and premieres in the cities of Como, Oviedo and Plovdiv. educators, child psychologists and artists from the three countries in order to use music as the main tool for growth and knowledge in education for children from 0 to 6 years. 

The author of the play is Simone Guerra, the puppet artist is Ilaria Comiso, the assistant directors are Matteo Molianesi and Mark Fowler. The musical director and accompanist of the premiere in Plovdiv is Tsvetelina Tsoneva, the translation is by Momchil Karaivanov, and the soprano Svetlana Ivanova and the puppet actors Elin Stoyanova and Ivelin Nikolov take part in the performance. Italian opera director Simone Guerra has experience in creating educational and puppet shows for the little ones, as well as performances for spectators with special educational needs. He described his adaptation of Rossini's opera: "The Fairytale Cinderella" is a comedy about the search for true humanity: while much of the world is moving for power and money, there are people whose greatest virtue is honesty. . A virtue that unites rich and poor, women and men.

Among the first spectators of "Fairy Cinderella" will be the children from kindergarten "Sunrise" Peshtera, who are preparing for their first meeting with opera art by music teachers from AMTII-Plovdiv, led by Assoc. Prof. Kolovska. The observations and conclusions of the specialists from Oviedo, Milan and Plovdiv about the children's reaction to "Fairy Cinderella" will be used by the teams to upgrade the educational performance in the second year of the project, when a children's mobile application for opera in Spanish and Italian will be created. and Bulgarian. 

The project "Opera and Early Childhood Education - Building European Awareness through Pandemic Music" under the Erasmus + program of the European Union is coordinated by the University of Oviedo in Spain, accompanied by Opera Plovdiv by four other partner organizations from Spain, Italy and Bulgaria: Opera Oviedo, the educational opera organization AsLiCo from the city of Como, the University of Milan Bicoca and AMTII "Prof. Asen Diamandiev ”- Plovdiv. The objectives of the project are to promote social inclusion in times of crisis by creating quality educational content and promoting music as a key tool for growth and knowledge in early childhood education, based on the belief that opera, as a European cultural heritage, is the ideal tool for raising the sense of unity among citizens of all ages. The focus of the project is to promote opera as an inclusive tool for the population of rural and peripheral areas through educational experiences related to opera, aimed at promoting access to culture, and in particular music, for children between 0 and 6 years of age.
