For its sixth production, the [opera] tive plunges us into a Scotland which brings together all the codes of romantic opera. Codes transposed here to an animal world where the marvelous takes precedence over realism. Louise Vignaud, director, and Nicolas Simon, musical director of the Orchester Les Siècles, thus compose a harsh, beautiful and disturbing tale, where comedy and music come together to reveal the mastery of an opera. whose tunes we hum, long after the release.
