Like no other baroque work, Arcangelo Corelli's Opus 5, published on January 1st, 1700, achieved recognition throughout Europe.

With the help of six sonatas from the collection, the baroque violinist Susanne Scholz and the harpsichordist Michael Hell make it possible to experience the diversity, shaped by chronological and geographical stylistic differences, in which this work was to be found over half a century as a fixed part of concert life and was adapted to the respective taste : Different instruments and playing techniques create six different listener experiences and let you feel how formative a consciously chosen direction of interpretation is for every musician: inner life. A fascinatingly varied and experimental journey through the history of violin playing and continuo practice in the 18th century based on Corelli's powerful violin sonatas in the Altenburg branch church!

Wie kein anderes barockes Werk erlangte das Opus 5 von Arcangelo Corelli, öffentlichkeits­wirksam publiziert am 1.1.1700, europaweite Anerkennung.

Anhand von sechs Sonaten der Sammlung machen die Barockgeigerin Susanne Scholz und der Cembalist Michael Hell erlebbar, in welcher Vielfalt, geprägt durch zeitliche und geographische stilistische Unterschiede, dieses Werk über ein halbes Jahrhundert als fixer Bestandteil des Konzertlebens zu finden war und dem jeweiligen Geschmack angepasst wurde: Verschiedene Instrumente und Spieltechniken lassen sechs verschiedene Hörererlebnisse entstehen und lassen spüren, wie prägend eine bewusst gewählte Interpretationsrichtung für jedes Musiker:innenleben ist.
