"Voor elke maat zoek ik de juiste beweging, want elke maat heeft zijn eigen muziek", zei dirigent Gábor Káli in een interview. En van de klassieke wereld van Haydn, die je in zijn allerlaatste Symfonie 104 nog steeds van de ene in de andere verrassing doet vallen tot de pure folklore van Bartók, die het platteland van Hongarije afstruinde op zoek naar inspiratie.
