L’attachant duo formé par William Christie au clavecin et Théotime Langlois de Swarte au violon est un symbole remarquable du passage de témoin entre générations. Les deux artistes ont en commun un amour inconditionnel de cette musique de chambre française trop peu explorée à leur goût. Les sonates de Leclair et Senaillé qu’ils ont choisi d’enregistrer avant de les présenter au public, semblent avoir été écrites de l’autre côté des Alpes tant elles sont contrastées, bouillonnantes et rythmées.
