The myth of Samson could be today the metaphor of the cutback suffered by the welfare state imprisoned by its financial debt. They have cut off Samson's long hair due to his materialistic passions and they have gouged out his eyes with which he could look at the millions of advertisements that incited him to compulsive consumption.

El mito de Sansón podría ser en la actualidad la metáfora del recorte que ha sufrido el estado del bienestar prisionero de su deuda financiera. A Sansón le han recortado las largas cabelleras de sus pasiones materialistas y le han arrancado los ojos con los que podía mirar los millones de anuncios que le incitaban al consumo compulsivo.
