After Il martirio di Santa Teodosia in 2019 and San Filippo Neri in 2021, Les Accents tackles the third and final part of this cycle devoted to the oratorios of Alessandro Scarlatti by delivering — twenty-three years after the legendary recording by Gérard Lesne — their version of Il Sedecia , a 1705 Roman oratorio recounting the fall of the tyrant Sedecias, king of Jerusalem, with epic breath and hauntingly beautiful music.

Après Il martirio di Santa Teodosia en 2019 et San Filippo Neri en 2021, Les Accents abordent le troisième et dernier volet de ce cycle consacré aux oratorios d’Alessandro Scarlatti en livrant — vingt-trois ans après l’enregistrement mythique de Gérard Lesne — leur version d’Il Sedecia, oratorio romain de 1705 contant la chute du tyran Sédécias, roi de Jérusalem, avec un souffle épique et une musique d’une envoûtante beauté.
