2023 marks the 400th anniversary of William Byrd, one of the towering figures of English choral music. His Five Part Mass is an absolute masterpiece and in this programme its movements are interleaved by other works of ravishing renaissance polyphony. Siglo de Oro are one of the most exciting young choral groups of today specialising in this repertoire.
