En trio ur Kungliga Filharmonikerna gästas av sopranen Kathrin Lorenzen. Hon ersätter Alexandra Büchel som tvingats ställa in på grund av sjukdom. De tidigare annonserade sångerna av Maurice Karkoff utgår, i övrigt är programmet oförändrat. Tyskfödda Kathrin Lorenzen var årets vinnare i Kungliga Musikaliska Akademiens tävling Solistpriset. Hon är numera bosatt i Stockholm och medlem i Radiokören. 

Vi hör tre exempel ur Maurice Ravels Cinq mélodies populaires grecques, sånger baserade på grekisk folkmusik och i original skrivna för röst och piano men här i arrangemang med harpa. Finländska Kaija Saariahos delikata Il pleut är komponerad för sopran och harpa till text av Guillaume Apollinaire.

Vid den här soppkonserten uruppförs även ett verk av amerikansk-svenska Molly Kien, specialskrivet för trion med oboe, harpa och cello. Franske André Jolivets vackert melankoliska Suite Liturgique från 1942 avslutar programmet och samlar hela ensemblen. 

Oboisten Jesper Harryson är medlem i Kungliga Filharmonikerna sedan 1993, Mikael Sjögren är alternerande solocellist och medlem i orkestern sedan 1984, och Laura Stephenson är orkesterns harpist sedan 1992.

A trio from the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra is joined by soprano Kathrin Lorenzen. She replaces Alexandra Büchel, who has had to cancel due to illness. The previously announced songs by Maurice Karkoff are omitted; otherwise, the programme remains unchanged. German-born Kathrin Lorenzen was this year's winner of the Royal Swedish Academy of Music's Soloist Prize. She is now based in Stockholm and is a member of the Swedish Radio Choir. 

We also hear three examples from Maurice Ravel's Cinq mélodies populaires grecques, songs based on Greek folk music, originally written for voice and piano but here arranged with harp. Finnish composer Kaija Saariaho's delicate Il pleut is composed for soprano and harp with text by Guillaume Apollinaire.

At this soup concert, we also hear the world premiere of a piece by American-Swedish composer Molly Kien, especially written for this trio with oboe, cello and harp. French André Jolivet’s beautifully melancholy Suite Liturgique from 1942 finishes the programme and gathers the entire ensemble. 

Oboist Jesper Harryson has been a member of the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra since 1993. Mikael Sjögren is alternate solo cellist and a member of the orchestra since 1984, and Laura Stephenson has been the orchestra’s harpist since 1992.
