Part of the programme "Tempo Forte Italia- Ελλάδα 2019", an initiative of the Embassy of Italy in Athens, aimed at bringing "more Italy to Greece and more Greece to Italy."

The annual musical pilgrimage, curated by Ravenna Festival since 1997, has taken the internationally acclaimed conductor Riccardo Muti and an ensemble of Italian musicians to historic cities of the past and the present, where they have performed together with local musicians. After concerts in cities as diverse as Sarajevo, Beirut, Jerusalem, Cairo and Tehran, the Roads of Friendship have chosen Athens as its next destination, a city connected to Ravenna by the Mediterranean Sea and by the common Byzantine ties.
Under Muti’s baton, Italian and Greek musicians and choristers will interpret in common Beethoven’s ever-popular Symphony No. 9.

Συναυλία στο πλαίσιο του Φεστιβάλ της Ραβέννας και του Φεστιβάλ Αθηνών και Επιδαύρου

Η εκδήλωση εντάσσεται στο Πρόγραμμα «Tempo Forte Italia- Eλλάδα 2019», μια πρωτοβουλία που διοργανώνει η Πρεσβεία της Ιταλίας στην Αθήνα με σκοπό να φέρει «περισσότερη Ιταλία στην Ελλάδα και περισσότερη Ελλάδα στην Ιταλία»

Η ετήσια μουσική συνάντηση που διοργανώνει από το 1997 το Φεστιβάλ της Ραβέννας, έχει οδηγήσει τον Μούτι, έναν από τους σπουδαιότερους μαέστρους στον κόσμο, μαζί με ένα σύνολο Ιταλών μουσικών, σε αρχαίες και σύγχρονες ιστορικές πόλεις, όπου συμπράττουν με εγχώριους μουσικούς. Μετά από συναυλίες σε ιδιαίτερες πόλεις, όπως το Σαράγιεβο, η Βηρυτός, η Ιερουσαλήμ, το Κάιρο και η Τεχεράνη, οι Δρόμοι της Φιλίας θα πραγματοποιηθούν στη Ραβέννα και στην Αθήνα, πόλεις που συνδέεται χάρη στη Μεσόγειο αλλά και σε κοινές βυζαντινές αναφορές.
Υπό την μπαγκέτα του Μούτι, Ιταλοί και Έλληνες μουσικοί και χορωδοί θα παρουσιάσουν από κοινού τη δημοφιλέστατη 9η Συμφωνία του Μπετόβεν.
