»French Connection« bi bil pravi naslov koncerta, na katerem bodo na sporedu dela skladateljev, ki jih je v različnih časovnih obdobjih želja po izobraževanju in ustvarjanju privedla v Francijo. Kanadčana Clauda Vivierja in našo Lariso Vrhunc, ki bo notni arhiv Slovenske filharmonije obogatila z novo skladbo, združuje močna afiniteta do spektralne glasbe. Na drugi strani bosta deli Messiaena in Xenakisa prikazali kar največjo možno različnost, pri čemer gre večino zaslug za to pripisati Xenakisu – samosvojemu skladatelju in odličnemu arhitektu.

"French Connection" would be the proper title of the concert, which will feature the works of composers whose desire for education and creation brought them to France at different times. Canadian Claude Vivier and our Larisa Vrhunc, who will enrich the music archive of the Slovenian Philharmonic with a new composition, are united by a strong affinity for spectral music. On the other hand, the works of Messiaen and Xenakis will show the greatest possible difference, and most of the credit for this goes to Xenakis - a composer and a great architect in his own right.
