Born in Segovia, Spain, the award-winning dramatic mezzo-soprano Cristina del Barrio possesses a remarkable voice that captivates audiences. She graduated with honors from Musikene (University of Music of the Basque Country, Spain) under the guidance of soprano Ana María Sánchez. Del Barrio has studied under esteemed mentors such as Dale Fundling, Carmen Quintanilla, Maciej Pikulski, Renata Scotto, and Carlos Aragón, establishing herself as one of the most promising Spanish mezzos in the national lyric scene.
