Biography
Tenor Elias Wilson is a Biripi man and a performer of opera, chamber music and oratorio. Since 2021 Elias has appeared on the opera stage with Pacific Opera (Nemorino in Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore, directed by Peter Coleman-Wright AO), NIDA (Lysander in Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, directed by Kate Gaul) and Pinchgut Opera (Chorus in Cavalli’s The Loves of Apollo & Dafne, directed by Mitchell Butel). His previous credits include La Rainette in Ravel’s L’Enfant et les Sortileges (Sydney Conservatorium), Satyavān in Gustav Holst’s Sāvitri (The Cooperative), and in full drag as Madame de la Haltière in Massenet’s Cendrillon (Sydney Conservatorium). Elias has also performed in the choruses of Verdi’s La Traviata, and Carlisle Floyd’s Susannah, directed by George Torbay for Opera
