Biography
British-Irish soprano Hazel Neighbour is a recent graduate of the Royal Academy of Music opera studio where she studied under the tutelage of renowned soprano Nuccia Focile. Hazel’s operatic highlights include Mimì (Young Artist Cover) for Mid Wales Opera’s new production of La bohème, Ottavia in L'incoronazione di Poppea for Grimeborn 2022 Festival, and joining the Glyndebourne chorus. Her upcoming engagements include a summer tour with Rogue Opera and performing Micaëla in Carmen with North Wales Opera and Gretel in Hänsel und Gretel at Vienna Opera Festival, as well as role debuts of Violetta Valéry, La traviata and Rosalinde, Die Fledermaus. Roles Hazel has performed include Contessa Almaviva, Le nozze di Figaro; Governess, The Turn of the Screw for Dartington International Festiva
