Heain Youn

The mezzo-soprano Heain Youn studied at the Kyung-Hee-University in Korea until 2013 and then in the master's program in Opera with KS Markus Brück and Prof. Carola Höhn at the University of the Arts in Berlin, where she graduated with top marks. She is currently doing her postgraduate studies with Prof. Anne Schwanewilms at the Weimar Academy of Music in Germany. In Berlin she was a soloist in Bach's Christmas Oratorio and his cantata BWV 149, Handel's Messiah, Rossini's Petite messe solennelle and the Requiem by M. Duruflé. On the opera stage she plays roles such as "Muse / Niklas" in Offenbach's Les Contes d'Hoffmann at the Seoul Art Center Opera Festival (2011), "Dorabella" in Mozart's Così fan tutte (2012), "Venus" in Offenbach's Orpheus in der Unterwelt at the Opera Oder-Spree (2017)
