Das Hagen Quartett mit Haydn, Beethoven und Ravel

They have been making music together for over 40 years: the three siblings Lukas, Veronika and Clemens Hagen as well as the violinist Rainer Schmidt played their way to the top of the world as the Hagen Quartet with their stylistic confidence, their sense of sound and their expressiveness. One focus of the ensemble from Salzburg is Viennese classical music. In this concert we hear two late string quartets by Haydn and Beethoven, which testify to the great ingenuity and joy of experimentation of the two composers. An elegant, expressive quartet by Maurice Ravel shows a French perspective on the genre.
