Debussy brings new sounds into the concert hall with his ground-breaking Prelude to a Faun's Afternoon. Light, airy and transparent like a watercolor – impressionism has found its musical expression here. Debussy's light and transparent sound universe was a great inspiration in the four orchestral pieces by Bartók, which were composed around 1912, but which did not find their final form until 1921. At the end of the concert, Hans Graf, together with the Aalborg Symphony Orchestra and the Randers Chamber Orchestra, performs Stravinsky's music for the ballet Ildfuglen in its large, original orchestral version. With this work, Graf and the Aalborg Symphony Orchestra's performances of Stravinsky's three ground-breaking ballets composed for the Russian Ballet in Paris in the period 1910-1913 are completed.

Debussy bringer nye klange ind i koncertsalen med sit banebrydende Forspil til en fauns eftermiddag. Let, luftig og gennemsigtig som en akvarel – impressionismen har her fundet sit musikalske udtryk. Debussys lette og gennemsigtige klangunivers var en stor inspiration i de fire orkesterstykker af Bartók, der blev komponeret omkring 1912, men som først fandt sin endelige form i 1921. Som afslutning på koncerten opfører Hans Graf, sammen med Aalborg Symfoniorkester og Randers Kammerorkester, Stravinskijs musik til balletten Ildfuglen i sin store, oprindelige orkesterudgave. Med dette værk fuldendes Graf og Aalborg Symfoniorkesters opførelser af Stravinskijs tre banebrydende balletter komponeret til Den Russiske Ballet i Paris i perioden 1910-1913.
