The performance is an adaptation of a well-known comic intermezzo. Stories of clever heroes have always been great entertainment for the next generations. This is also the case here, because La serva padrona has been entertaining the audience continuously for over 200 years.

Through the eyes of a child.

As we all know, a child's imagination knows no bounds. In this colorful land, toys have their own personalities, and their adventures are often so faithfully based on life that we watch them with a smile. So let's sit comfortably on the cushions and see how the funny story of a hardened bachelor and a clever maid will be told by the dolls from the bedside table.

Part I

The moody Uberto is waiting impatiently for the breakfast his maid Serpina was supposed to serve him a long time ago. Desperate, he orders Vespone's servant to find the culprit immediately.
However, she does not intend to serve her employer, because she considers herself the mistress of this house. Upset, Uberto protests, but is quickly instructed by the maid that he has nothing to say here. The only way to deal with the unruly Serpine seems to be for Vespone to find a wife for Uberto to put his house in order. Serpina, hearing this, quickly declares that it's a great idea, provided that she becomes his wife. 

Part II

It is not easy for Serpina to get Uberto engaged, but she does not give up and asks Vespone for help. She disguises him as the terrible Captain Grom Bombardon with a huge mustache and tells Uberto that the cruel man wants to marry her. At first, the plot doesn't go as planned as Uberto remains unfazed. After a while, however, he realizes that he will lose Serpine forever, and slowly his feelings begin to take over his stubbornness. Serpina forges the iron while it's hot and, together with Vespone, gives Uberto an ultimatum, either he will marry her himself or pay a lavish dowry for her. Uberto, trying to get rid of the impertinent mustache, agrees to marry Serpina. Vespone accidentally discovers his identity, but Uberto's anger is short-lived when he realizes that he loves Serpina.

 

The performance is part of the Mobile Opera project - a series of interactive performances for children and teenagers encouraging the young audience to actively perceive opera works.

The project was co-financed by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage from the Culture Promotion Fund.

Spektakl to adaptacja znanego komicznego intermezza. Historie sprytnych bohaterów zawsze stanowiły świetną rozrywkę dla kolejnych pokoleń. Tak jest i w tym przypadku, bo La serva padrona bawi publiczność nieprzerwalnie od ponad 200 lat.

Okiem dziecka.

Jak wszyscy wiemy wyobraźnia dziecka nie zna granic. W tej kolorowej krainie zabawki mają swoje osobowości, a ich przygody często tak wiernie oparte są na życiu, że oglądamy je z uśmiechem. Rozsiądźmy się zatem wygodnie na poduchach i zobaczmy jak zabawną historię zatwardziałego kawalera i sprytnej służącej opowiedzą nam laleczki z nocnego stolika.

Część I

Humorzasty Uberto czeka niecierpliwością na śniadanie, które już dawno temu miała mu zaserwować jego służąca Serpina. Zdesperowany każe służącemu Vespone natychmiast znaleźć winowajczynię.
Ta jednak nie zamierza usługiwać swojemu pracodawcy, gdyż uważa się za panią tego domu. Zdenerwowany Uberto protestuje, ale szybko zostaje pouczony przez służącą, że nie ma tu nic do powiedzenia. Jedynym sposobem na niesforną Serpine wydaje się znalezienie przez Vespone żony dla Uberto, która zaprowadziłaby porządek w jego domu. Serpina słysząc to szybko oświadcza, że to świetny pomysł pod warunkiem, że to właśnie ona zostanie jego żoną. 

Część II

Serpinie nie jest łatwo zmusić Uberto do zaręczyn, nie poddaje się jednak i prosi o pomoc Vespone. Przebiera go za strasznego Kapitana Grom Bombardona z wielkim wąsem i oznajmia Uberto, że okrutnik ten chce ją wziąć za żonę. Początkowo spisek nie idzie zgodnie z planem, bo Uberto pozostaje niewzruszony. Po chwili jednak zdaje sobie sprawę, że straci Serpine na zawsze i powoli uczucia zaczynają brać górę nad jego upartością. Serpina kuje żelazo póki gorące i wraz z Vespone daje ultimatum Uberto, albo sam się z nią ożeni albo zapłaci za nią suty posag. Uberto próbując pozbyć się wąsatego impertynenta zgadza się poślubić Serpinę. Vespone przez przypadek odkrywa swoją tożsamość, ale złość Uberto nie trwa długo gdy pojmuje, że kocha Serpinę.

 

Spektakl jest częścią projektu Mobilna Opera – cykl interaktywnych spektakli dla dzieci i młodzieży zachęcających młodą publiczność do aktywnego odbioru dzieł operowych.
