The National Symphony Orchestra will begin its 2022 season under the baton of Colombian conductor Carlos Ágreda, who was chosen as one of the six best conductors in the first edition of the Conducting Competition in Rotterdam. It will be with Carlos that the National Symphony will premiere in the country the work B-sides by another Colombian talent, the composer James Díaz, winner of multiple national and international awards. 

As a tribute to youth, Prokofiev's 'Classical' Symphony will also be heard at the concert, a work that the composer wrote when he was only 26 years old and in which he intended to translate musical classicism into the language of the 20th century. 

And to end the programme, together with the Spanish cellist Gabriel Ureña, the Orchestra will present Dvořák's 'Concierto for cello', considered by many to be the greatest concert of all for this instrument, and which was even qualified by composers of stature of Brahms as a genius.
