Jozef Slovák, Vladislav Šarišský - Rose Kingdom (State Opera in Banská Bystrica)

The new musical fairy tale for children, children and adults is based on the well-known story about Sleeping Beauty . However, its authors Jozef Slovák and Vladislav "Slnko" Šarišský transformed it and enriched it with unsuspected, but especially funny situations. We get to the Rose Kingdom, which is named after the most popular flower of the Rose King - the rose. He lives his carefree life with his somewhat eccentric wife, the Rose Queen, and his little daughter, Ruženka. He is entertained by a huge talking parrot and a sly cat.

However, the beautiful rose life in the carefree Rose Kingdom is disrupted by the curse of the Striga, which is to be fulfilled on the day of the Rose's 15th birthday. In order for the curse not to be fulfilled, the King must destroy all the roses in the area. And so Ruženka grows into beauty. But she is not a gentle princess but a real teenager who can take her parents, who are planning a wedding with Prince Augustus from the neighboring kingdom. How will the story end? You will find out at the fairytale performance at the State Opera.
