O. Ryabov "Sorochyn Fair"

Have you ever been to a fair in Sorochintsy? If not - urgently correct the situation! And not because that's where the best lard, the most delicious cakes, the strongest vodka and the most beautiful women. And because this is a place where interesting events take place, all sorts of miracles happen and the daily life of the people resembles an incendiary bright show with merry songs, dances, sincere love, jokes and Gogol's mysticism. There is an atmosphere of celebration, which is unable to overcome, even evil spirits. In order to feel this atmosphere, it is not necessary to go to Poltava, you can visit the National Operetta to watch the play.
"Sorochyn Fair" is a large-scale national project , which presents the riches of Ukrainian folk crafts, the breadth of Ukrainian soul and folk wisdom, Ukrainian melody and colorful humor. In a matter of seconds, the audience is immersed in this noisy and colorful action and follows the fates of the main characters, who know how to love, make friends, sympathize, be sincere and live with an open heart.
The Sorochyn Fair is a striking example of Ukrainian classical operetta, the founder of which is considered to be O. Ryabov in Ukraine.
In 2010, the Sorochyn Fair in the version of the National Operetta was awarded the prestigious theatrical award "Kyiv Pectoral" as "Best Musical Performance".
