The music of the Strauss dynasty is ageless. Their best compositions still sound as modern as they did 150 years ago. Every year, many European countries host the Strauss Festival, whose listeners enjoy magnificent waltzes, polkas, marches, gallops, overtures and arias from the operettas of the most famous dynasty of composers and conductors of the 19th century.

Johann Strauss Sr., an outstanding composer, violinist and conductor, author of the famous Radetzky March, had three sons. The father was categorically against their music studies, but all three sons successfully continued the work of their early deceased father. The eldest, Johann Strauss the son, is the author of famous operettas (among them “Die Fledermaus” and “The Gypsy Baron”), famous waltzes - “Tales of the Vienna Woods”, “On the Beautiful Blue Danube”, “Voices of Spring”, polka “On the Hunt” ", "Trick-Trac" and other works. The middle one, Joseph, graduated as an engineer and architect, but also became addicted to music, conducted his father’s orchestra and wrote many waltzes and polkas. The younger, Eduard, who was destined for a diplomatic career, also became a composer and conductor, the author of more than 300 works.

On January 13, on the eve of the Old New Year, the State Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus will perform amazing Viennese waltzes and polkas written by representatives of the Strauss dynasty. Bright, cheerful melodies, graceful rhythms, and the wonderful sound of the orchestra under the direction of conductor Yuri Karavaev will create a real festive mood.

Музыка династии Штраусов не имеет возраста. Лучшие их сочинения и сейчас звучат так же современно, как и 150 лет назад. Каждый год во многих европейских странах проходит «Штраус-фестиваль», слушатели которого наслаждаются великолепными вальсами, польками, маршами, галопами, увертюрами и ариями из оперетт известнейшей династии композиторов и дирижёров XIX века.

У Иоганна Штрауса-старшего, выдающегося композитора, скрипача и дирижера, автора знаменитого Марша Радецкого, было три сына. Отец был категорически против их занятий музыкой, однако все три сына успешно продолжили дело рано умершего отца. Старший, Иоганн Штраус-сын — автор знаменитых оперетт (среди них — «Летучая мышь» и «Цыганский барон»), прославленных вальсов — «Сказки Венского леса», «На прекрасном голубом Дунае», «Весенние голоса», полек «На охоте», «Трик-трак» и других сочинений. Средний, Йозеф, получил специальности инженера и архитектора, однако тоже пристрастился к музыке, дирижировал оркестром отца и написал множество вальсов и полек. Младший, Эдуард, которому прочили дипломатическую карьеру, тоже стал композитором и дирижером, автором более 300 произведений.

13 января, в канун Старого Нового года в исполнении Государственного академического симфонического оркестра Республики Беларусь прозвучат изумительные венские вальсы и польки, написанные представителями династии Штраусов. Яркие, брызжущие весельем мелодии, изящные ритмы, прекрасное звучание оркестра под управлением дирижера Юрия Караваева создадут настоящее праздничное настроение.
